Mainly used for hydrogenation of olefins, diolefins, aromatics, nitro compounds, nitriles and carbonyl compounds. Applied in production of saturated oils and fats, fatty alcohols and sugar alcohols in food and fine chemical industry. Used for hydrofining of petroleum fractions, dearomatization and upgrading of solvent oils. Serves as catalyst for hydrogen production via methane steam reforming and CO methanation. Employed in synthesis of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals and pesticide intermediates through selective hydrogenation. Also used in hydrodeoxygenation, hydrodesulfurization and gas purification processes.
